Why create content on social media?

It’s been a while since I took my content creation journey seriously. And from this, I’ve learned so many things — in life and career. I was able to meet new people, good and bad ones. I can say that this content creation expedition is exciting and fun.

With that being said, I will share 3 things about why you should try creating content on social media and why it’s not a bad thing to start with.

Ability to share your knowledge

We usually consume content for entertainment or educational purposes. As proof, when you don’t know how to do things, either you search it on Google or look for a video, on YouTube, that will teach you how to do it.

For this purpose, you can also do the opposite of it. You, giving advice, new skills, techniques, tips, or even life hacks to strangers hoping that you might help them.

Creating content on social media allows you to provide value to other people and share your joy doing the things you love. It’s a win-win situation, you benefit from others’ content and them getting something with yours.

Plus, it’s heart-warming to read comments and messages on how you helped them when they’re having a hard time fixing things for hours and hours.

Ability to create an impact for others

Content creation is a double-edged sword. Some create content to help other people and some do it to mislead them, fake news as what we call it today. But one thing is for sure, content creates an impact on an individual’s life.

That’s the reason why I always remind myself and you, who are reading this article now, that we need to be responsible in creating content and acknowledge our accountability to whom it may concern.

We never know, our content might be marked on them for the rest of their lives. That’s how powerful content creation is.

Ability to attract network

Creating content means sharing information. Good or bad, you attract what you provide.

Over the past years of this journey, I can say that I’ve met people who helped me in my passion and grow it further. I don’t say that my experiences are always good. Of course, there are bad things while I walk this path but, as I continue providing value to others without expecting anything, I met people who contributed to what I am right now.

And I’m thankful to God for giving me this journey. Living with purpose. Serving others through content creation. Enjoying my passion with other people.
